This course is designed to help participants develop key employability skills specifically for the health and social care sector, with a focus on crafting effective CVs, writing compelling cover letters, and completing mock job applications. Participants will learn how to highlight their skills, experiences, and qualifications in a way that aligns with the requirements of roles within the industry. Practical guidance will be provided on structuring a professional CV, tailoring applications to specific job postings, and composing persuasive cover letters that stand out. Mock application exercises will offer hands-on practice to build confidence and prepare participants for real-world opportunities.

Progression

Upon completing this course, participants will have the opportunity to progress onto an Entry Level or Level 1 accredited qualification in Health & Social Care starting in Autumn. This qualification provides a solid foundation for those looking to start a career in the health and social care sector. It covers essential topics such as effective communication, understanding care principles, and basic health and safety, preparing individuals for further learning or entry-level roles in this rewarding industry. In order to complete this course, students require a minimum of Entry 3 in English.
