Equivalent to three A-levels, our T-Level qualifications are two-year courses that have been developed in collaboration with businesses to meet the needs of the industry and prepare you for a career in your chosen sector.Our Education and Childcare T-Level has been specifically developed to give you an insight into key aspects of this valued sector. You will study a range of modules, including Child Development, Safeguarding, Behaviour, Special Educational Needs and Disability, Reflective Practice, Partnership Working, and Promoting Children’s Play. Our specialist industry-expert teaching team will deliver your lessons at Worsley College.

Progression

Upon successful completion of our T-Level Education and Childcare qualification, you can apply to a university of your choice. Your T-Level qualification will be worth UCAS points (a T-Level Distinction* is worth the same as 3 A-Levels at A*) and will be recognised by universities and other education providers so that you can continue studying if you wish. You may also choose to explore Higher or Degree Level apprenticeships.Potential future employment opportunities for students who have completed our Education and Childcare T-Level qualification include Early Years Educator, Classroom Assistant, Teacher, Speech and Language Therapist, Psychologist, Montessori Teacher, Portage Worker, Specialist Childminder and Social Worker.

Assessment

When you have completed your T-Level qualification, you will receive an overall grade of Pass, Merit, Distinction or Distinction*. You will complete several assessments throughout your studies, including exams, coursework, synoptic assessments, and a reviewed industry placement.

Entry Requirements

Students are required to have achieved 5 GCSEs at Grade 4 or higher, including English and maths. To study this course, students will also require a satisfactory Enhanced DBS check.
